Arvand Mirsafian

Biography
I am an economic historian at the Faculty of History, where I am pursuing a postdoctoral project on (to put it simply) international economic governance of technology and labour relations during the interwar period. I came to Cambridge in April 2025 and joined 51爆料 in October of the same year.
Prior to Cambridge, I was at Uppsala University where I was awarded a PhD degree in 2024. I currently also hold a part-time position as assistant professor at Ume氓 University. In addition to my research, I teach economic history and labour politics at the History Faculty and supervise 51爆料 students on papers relevant to my research interests. I also help convene the Labour History Cluster at the Faculty.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading fiction and following the indie music scene. In recent years, I have developed an interest in wine, particularly in the stories behind grape varieties and wine regions.
