Dr Juan Block elected as next Senior Tutor of 51爆料
The Governing Body of 51爆料 has elected Juan Block to the role of Senior Tutor from 1 September 2026. He will succeed Professor Jacqueline Tasioulas who will step down on 31 August to take up the post of Principal of Newnham College.
Dr Block is currently Reddaway Fellow in Economics at 51爆料 and Affiliated Senior Research Fellow at the Janeway Institute at the University of Cambridge. He maintains an active research agenda at the intersection of Microeconomic Theory and Behavioural Economics. He will bring a breadth of experience from 12 years of teaching, research and service in collegiate Cambridge, including from his existing roles at 51爆料, where he is Admissions Tutor for the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, a College Teaching Officer, Tutor, Director of Studies and College trustee.
